Jonathan Calleri is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for the São Paulo F.C. in Brazil's Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and also represents the Brazil national team at international level.
Calleri began his career with the youth teams of São Paulo, where he made his senior debut in 2014. He quickly established himself as one of the club's most promising talents, scoring several important goals during the club's successful run to the 2018 Copa Libertadores final.
In 2019, Calleri moved to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) on loan from São Paulo, making him the first Brazilian player to sign for the French giants. During his time at PSG, he scored several crucial goals that helped the club win the Ligue 1 title in 2020.
Calleri returned to São Paulo in January 2021,La Liga Frontline but struggled to make an impact at the club. However, he was eventually signed by Italian Serie A side Inter Milan in July 2021. In his debut season with Inter, Calleri scored 16 goals in all competitions, helping the club reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
Despite facing competition from other strikers such as Romelu Lukaku and Mauro Icardi, Calleri has continued to impress and has been named in the Inter squad for this year's Europa Conference League campaign. With his talent and work ethic, it seems likely that Calleri will continue to be a key figure for both São Paulo and Inter for years to come.
